Okra - Vegetable gardening at home

How to plant Okra at home:

  • Okra seeds should be soaked in water for at least 12-18 hours allowing them to absorb the moisture before being sowed.

  • Okra can grow in different types of soil but it must be fertilized well.

  • Sow the seeds 1/2 inch deep in light soil and 1 inch deep in heavy soil;

  • Spacing is 3 inches apart in rows 3 feet apart.

  • After around 12 days, the seed will begin to germinate.

  • When the seeds you planted have sprouted and grown to 3 inches high, thin out the smaller seedlings and leave the strongest ones standing
